Anticipating 2011...

WELCOME! I have toyed around with the idea of blogging for a while and I have finally broke down and made one. Hopefully I can keep it up! Only time will tell....
I started blogging tonight because I have had a lot of time to think. Hubby is hunting in Missouri with the boys so I am home alone and there is nothing to watch or do, except take down Christmas deco and I really DON'T want to do that! Tonight I have been pondering 2010 and the upcoming 2011. Time flies!!
So here we go! Let the blogging begin!!

As 2011 approaches, I look back on 2010 and there is much to be thankful for. I am thankful for my amazing support system of a super great husband and stepdaughter, family, friends and coworkers. I am thankful for a stable and rewarding career and I am thankful for my health. Having had 2 surgeries in 2010.. It was a challenging year to say the least. I am thankful to end this year healthy and feeling great! These are just a few of the many things I am thankful for... I could go on and on and ON but will save some for a later time :)
2011 is just a few days away. Most people come up with New Years Resolutions but I really can't think of any right now... but I can think of a few "wishes" for 2011. If we could have just ONE wish for 2011 it would be to get pregnant. Patrick and I have prayed for a child of our own for a few months now. The mental game of it all can be quite challenging and disheartening. The hardest part is the not knowing when and the worrying. It really is a mind game. To say I am a PLANNER is an understatement. My planner rules my life.  If only we could "plan" things like having a baby when WE want to.... I just have to keep reminding myself to be patient and it is all in God's time and not MINE.

To end, I will leave you with a few of my favorite bible verses about patience...
-Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

-Romans 8:25
But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.

-Romans 12:12

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

MAY GOD BLESS YOU IN 2011!!
